Dark RPG The Vernyhorn receives ray tracing and DLSS 4.5 support

Polish developer INTERSTUDIO has unveiled a fresh trailer for their upcoming RPG, The Vernyhorn. While a specific launch window has yet to be finalized, the studio confirmed a technical partnership with NVIDIA to bring a highly detailed open world to life using the latest industry advancements.

The footage reveals that the title will ship with day-one support for Ray Tracing and DLSS 4.5. According to the development team, these features are essential for achieving the intended level of visual fidelity while maintaining optimal performance.

The narrative unfolds in a somber universe deeply rooted in Early Medieval Slavic mythology and folklore. The trailer highlights dense, ancient forests, mist-shrouded wetlands, and rugged landscapes inspired by the natural beauty of Central Europe. Every hamlet, cavern, and forest clearing is designed to house unique stories and secrets, rewarding players who prioritize exploration.

The Vernyhorn features stunning environments inspired by Slavic folklore.

Spearheaded by a small, dedicated team, the project focuses on atmosphere and emotional storytelling rather than simply maximizing map size. The developers cited legendary titles like The Witcher, Baldur’s Gate, and Icewind Dale as primary influences, aiming to create a memorable world that resonates with players long after the credits roll.

To enhance immersion, the crew traveled extensively across Poland to perform 3D scans of real-world locations and capture high-fidelity field recordings. These natural sounds—from the rustling of leaves to distant thunder—are designed to ground the player in the game’s harsh environment.
