“Damned humiliating”: Mickey Rourke evicted from his home over debts

The Los Angeles Superior Court has officially issued an eviction notice for veteran actor Mickey Rourke, forcing him to vacate the property he occupied for the last several years. The court ruled in favor of the landlord after Rourke reportedly ignored the legal complaint and failed to appear for his scheduled court date. As a result, the lease agreement was summarily terminated, and possession of the property was returned to the owner. It is reported that the actor had amassed a significant rental debt totaling approximately $59,000.

Earlier this year, a GoFundMe campaign appeared online, purportedly seeking financial aid to help Rourke settle his arrears. While the initiative managed to raise nearly $100,000, questions arose regarding the actor’s actual involvement. Rourke later denounced the fundraiser as “humiliating and shameful,” stating emphatically that he would never resort to begging for money.

Investigation later revealed that the crowdfunding effort had been organized by an assistant to the actor’s manager. The revelation sparked a major scandal, resulting in all donated funds being returned to the contributors.

Currently, Mickey Rourke is reportedly residing at a luxury hotel in West Hollywood.
