Critical reception for the second season of Guy Ritchie’s Netflix series, The Gentlemen, has arrived following its streaming debut on September 3.

The show currently holds an 85% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a score of 69 out of 100 on Metacritic. Critics have unanimously praised the season’s ambitious scope, labeling it “endlessly entertaining” and “charismatic.” Theo James’ portrayal of lead character Eddie Horniman has even drawn comparisons to Michael Corleone from The Godfather.

In this latest chapter, the aristocratic Eddie seeks to broaden his criminal enterprise beyond the confines of his British estate. His expansion into Italy ignites a high-stakes conflict with local mobsters. The ensemble cast features Kaya Scodelario, Hugh Bonneville, Sergio Castellitto, and others.

Previously, it was confirmed that The Gentlemen has been renewed for a third season.
