Chinese Company Unveils Fuxi A0 Gaming Graphics Card with Upscaling and Ray Tracing Support

Chinese manufacturers continue to develop their own solutions to reduce dependence on NVIDIA and AMD.

Chinese firm Xiang Dixian unveiled its new graphics card, the Fuxi A0, for the first time at the ICCAD Expo 2025 in Chengdu. The GPU is based on Imagination Technologies’ Imagination DXD architecture and is among the earliest graphics solutions produced using a 5 nm process.

At the booth a ray-traced test scene was shown in which the Fuxi A0 delivered roughly 35 frames per second; however, the render resolution and whether any upscaling was applied were not disclosed. The manufacturer also claimed the card can run Black Myth: Wukong “at a very good frame rate,” but this statement was not supported by a live demonstration.

According to Xiang Dixian, the Fuxi A0 is the first mass-market GPU built on the Imagination DXD architecture. It is equipped with 12 GB of video memory, supports upscaling, and reportedly delivers up to twice the performance of the previous generation.

The Fuxi family will include two variants: the A0, intended for gaming, and the B0, targeted at AI workloads, which will pair the GPU with a dedicated neural processor.

Nevertheless, software support remains an open question. Xiang Dixian asserts the Fuxi A0 is ready for mass production, but drivers and engine-level optimization for mainstream game engines are just as vital in today’s market. The company has not clarified which specific upscaling algorithms the card employs.

By comparison, Chinese developer Lisuan Tech introduced its own NRSS upscaling technology when unveiling its gaming GPUs; for Fuxi, there has been no announcement of a proprietary counterpart or adaptation of existing solutions so far.
