CD Projekt Red Begins Development on New Game Outside The Witcher and Cyberpunk Franchises
CD Projekt RED has started pre-production on Hadar, an entirely new intellectual property unconnected to The Witcher or Cyberpunk.
During a recent financial conference, CD Projekt RED reported on the progress of project Hadar. More than 30 specialists are currently working on the new universe, and the studio plans to expand the team by another 50 people before the end of the year.
Development remains at an early stage. The creators are testing various design approaches, checking narrative ideas, and prototyping key gameplay elements. Full production is still a long way off.

For comparison, nearly 500 people are already working on the new Witcher game. Hadar will be CD Projekt RED’s first entirely original universe created from scratch.
