Capcom Reveals Trailer and Details for Fourth Free Update to Monster Hunter Wilds
The update will be released on PC and consoles on December 16.
Capcom has published an official trailer, screenshots, and full details for the fourth free update for Monster Hunter Wilds — the most substantial content drop since the game’s launch.
The ancient dragon Gogmazios will be added to the roster. The hunt becomes available after completing the main story quest “A First Cry.” Once the special assignment is completed for the first time, a recurring quest unlocks so players can challenge the monster repeatedly.
Hunters will be able to bring Nadia, Nightmist, and Griffin along as AI companions during hunts.
The update also introduces an armor enhancement system for hunters ranked 100 and above. This system removes sphere-upgrade limits and boosts decoration slot effectiveness on rarity-5 and rarity-6 armor pieces.
The second major challenge is the arch-tempered Jin Dakhad. Permanent quests featuring this foe will arrive on December 24, while limited-time trials begin on January 7.
From December 19 through January 14, the seasonal event Festival of Accord: Lumenhymn will take place — a winter celebration that decorates the hub for the holidays and adds special meals, gestures, camp decorations, and bonuses.
Additionally, the update brings performance improvements across all platforms.
