Having continually conquered the music charts as an integral member of BTS, V is now taking his distinctive influence into the world of athletic fashion as the star of a major new campaign.
Unveiled on Monday, August 10, the global K-pop sensation has been named as a leading face of Champion’s “True Champion” campaign. V joins an elite international roster of ambassadors that includes Romeo Beckham, Danna Paola, Kyle Kuzma, Sofi Tukker, Megan Keller, Bella Sims, and Jaalen Best. In promotional imagery released across social media platforms, V is captured looking directly into the lens while sporting a classic dark blue hoodie.
“A history of wins that began with a winning spirit — and the dedication to keep showing up,” the brand outlines on its official website. “Yet, quiet greatness is what truly separates true champions from the crowd. It’s an undeniable energy that requires no audience or justification.”
Stefani Fleurant, executive vice president of marketing, sport, and lifestyle at Authentic Brands Group—which acquired Champion in 2024—shared her enthusiasm for the collaboration. She highlighted V’s “creative vision, global impact, and authentic bond with his fans,” noting that these attributes make him a seamless fit for the brand. “This campaign honors the diverse ways individuals motivate others through their authentic identities and extraordinary talents.”
The celebrated South Korean artist is certainly no stranger to high-fashion ventures, having previously held global ambassadorships with luxury houses like Cartier and Celine. Furthermore, in May, V and his fellow BTS members partnered with Nike for an exclusive customizable collection in honor of their ongoing ARIRANG World Tour.
The globally renowned septet—which boasts an impressive seven No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100—recently wrapped up a successful two-night run at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. The group’s itinerary continues with back-to-back performances in Baltimore starting Monday evening, as the North American leg of the ARIRANG tour races toward its conclusion in early September.
Notably, BTS’ latest studio album, ARIRANG, dominated the Billboard 200 chart by securing the No. 1 spot for three consecutive weeks.
