BTS Member Jung Kook Receives Birthday Serenade From Bandmates and ARMY at ARIRANG Tour Concert

Jung Kook is 29, and his BTS bandmates and fans celebrated his birthday on stage during the group’s first night in Los Angeles on the Arirang World Tour.

During the Tuesday, Sept. 1 show captured by Billboard, the crowd at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, sang “Happy Birthday” with members of the group. Jin presented Jung Kook with a birthday crown toward the end of the song.

Jung Kook said, “Thank you!”

BTS has three additional shows planned at SoFi Stadium over the next few days. The group, which also includes Jimin, SUGA, j-hope, V, and RM, will then travel to Latin America, Asia, and Australia. The tour runs through mid-March in support of their 2026 album, ARIRANG, which spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and featured the Billboard Hot 100-topping single “SWIM.”

Jung Kook’s 28th year included contributing to the BTS comeback, partnering with Calvin Klein to design his first clothing line this spring, and reuniting with Jimin for the second season of their travel series, Are You Sure?!, which filmed in Switzerland and Vietnam following their discharge from the South Korean military.
