Renee Zellweger’s beloved character is set to be immortalized in bronze on Leicester Square in London. The statue was commissioned by the production company Working Title. The unveiling is expected to be a lavish affair, with Zellweger herself scheduled to attend alongside Sally Phillips, Leo Woodall and Chiwetel Ejiofor, who portray Bridget’s romantic interests in the latest film.
Leicester Square already features statues of Batman, Paddington, Mary Poppins and others. The installation marks the 25th anniversary of the film “Bridget Jones’s Diary”.
