Brian Eno, Celeste and Others Launch Bid for U.K. Christmas No. 1 with Palestinian Charity Single

The team behind Together For Palestine — the sold-out OVO Arena Wembley benefit that raised more than £2 million for Palestinian aid in September — has announced a charity Christmas single titled “Lullaby.” Contributors include Brian Eno, Celeste, Neneh Cherry, Mabel and Bastille’s Dan Smith. The single will be released by Together For Palestine and distributed worldwide by independent label EMPIRE on December 12, 2025, the day the U.K.’s Official Christmas No. 1 race begins. “Lullaby” is a reimagining of the traditional Palestinian lullaby “Yamma Mweel El Hawa.” All proceeds will go to Choose Love’s Together For Palestine Fund, which supports three Palestinian-led organizations: Taawon, Palestine Children’s Relief Fund and Palestine Medical Relief Service — providing humanitarian aid amid the ongoing Israel–Palestine crisis.

The track was produced by Benji B, Kieran Brunt and Henri Davies; mixed by David Wrench and Valgeir Sigurðsson; and mastered by Matt Colton. Kieran Brunt and Nai Barghouti arranged and recomposed the piece, with English lyrics contributed by Peter Gabriel.

Together For Palestine are urging supporters to pre-order the single on Bandcamp, iTunes and Amazon, or to pre-save it on their preferred streaming platform ahead of the release.

Voices from the project

Nai Barghouti said the lullaby is part of Palestinian musical heritage and has returned at a crucial moment as a reminder of “hope, defiance, beauty and dignity.”

Brian Eno added that the project aims to channel grief into an act of solidarity: if listeners rally behind the release, it can become both a cultural statement and a meaningful source of life-saving support.

Mabel reflected on the personal significance of the recording, noting that singing alongside her mother Neneh and sister Tyson made the performance especially poignant — a tribute to mothers and children in Gaza.

The single follows the OVO Arena Wembley benefit, which featured performances and speeches from 69 artists and cultural figures and was livestreamed to an international audience of music fans.
