British filmmaker Paul Greengrass, the visionary behind the Jason Bourne franchise, has locked in his next directorial effort: Test Drive, a high-octane action thriller developed for 20th Century Studios.
While specific narrative details are currently being kept under wraps, the screenplay was penned by Matt Venn (Dexter: Resurrection). Production is tentatively scheduled to commence either late this year or in the early months of 2027.
Greengrass’s most recent project, The Lost Bus starring Matthew McConaughey, debuted on Apple TV+ last autumn to critical acclaim, notably securing an Academy Award nomination for Best Visual Effects. Also on the director’s upcoming slate is The Rebellion, a historical drama featuring Andrew Garfield.
