Borderlands 4 to Feature Shared Character Progression: No Need to Re-collect Collectibles and Upgrades
A highly anticipated quality-of-life feature is nearing its debut.
As the launch of the new character C4SH for Borderlands 4 approaches, the community has turned its attention back to the “Shared Progression” system previously teased by the development team.
This mechanic is designed to unify advancement across different characters. By streamlining the experience, switching between Vault Hunters will allow players to retain unlocked fast-travel nodes, SDU upgrades, various character enhancements, collectibles, and other milestones.
Grant Kao, Associate Creative Director at Gearbox Software, recently addressed fan inquiries and narrowed down the release window. According to Kao, the Shared Progression feature for Borderlands 4 is slated to arrive alongside the C4SH update, which is expected to go live by the end of March.
