At State of Play, developers revealed BlazBlue Entropy Effect X — a 2.5D action title aimed at genre enthusiasts. This new entry in the well-known series looks capable of standing alongside the best releases in the category.
BlazBlue Entropy Effect X is a roguelite action game in which players select one of 14 characters from the BlazBlue universe. Each fighter possesses distinctive abilities known as Potentials, which can be paired with a range of tactical skills. That design lets players assemble dozens of combat archetypes and tailor their personal approach to encounters.
Thanks to a skill-inheritance system linking characters, players can experiment with diverse combos and unlock an increasingly deep and varied gameplay loop.
The narrative takes place in a mysterious Laboratory where a team of scientists fights to avert the annihilation of their world. Project lead Dr. Mercurius warns that the end is imminent. To preserve reality, the protagonist Ace sails into the Sea of Possibilities in search of the Shards of Possibility — the only means to halt the looming catastrophe.
