BLACKPINK’s Lisa to Headline Fortnite’s Festival Season 12

Following a mashup “Mixtape” season that highlighted tracks from Doja Cat, Elton John, Joan Jett and Motionless in White, Fortnite is returning to its Festival format: dedicating an entire Festival Pass to a single headline artist. Season 12 — which arrives on Nov. 29 alongside Chapter 7 — will center on Lisa of Blackpink as the Season 12 Festival Icon.

Epic hasn’t published the full roster of songs for Lisa’s Festival Pass yet, although her solo single “Rockstar” appears in the trailer and climbed to number four on Billboard’s global charts last year. A Blackpink track could still make the cut, but that hasn’t been confirmed.

As with previous Festival Passes, expect multiple Lisa outfits and at least one skin to appear in the item shop. If Epic releases more variants than the two glimpsed in the trailer, they could also introduce a version designed to appeal beyond Blackpink’s core fanbase.

Lisa recently appeared in the latest season of The White Lotus, playing Thidapon “Mook” Sornsin, a hotel employee and the romantic interest of security guard Gaitok (Tayme Thapthimthong). A skin modeled after that role might be unlikely, but it’s the sort of crossover many players would welcome.

Nov. 29 will mark a major turnover for Fortnite: the Simpsons-themed season wraps and Chapter 6 comes to a close. When the servers return for Chapter 7, players should find a new season, a redesigned map, fresh passes, and a Quentin Tarantino collaboration that brings Kill Bill-inspired cosmetics to the game — along with an inclusion of an unfilmed chapter from the original Kill Bill script in some form. Read more on that collaboration here.
