Bill Nighy to Star in John Wick Spin-off

Academy Award nominee Bill Nighy, known for his role in Pirates of the Caribbean, has officially joined the cast of Caine, the latest expansion of the John Wick cinematic universe.

While specific details regarding Nighy’s character remain under wraps, the film will center on the eponymous assassin Caine, a pivotal antagonist introduced in the John Wick series. Donnie Yen is set to direct and reprise his role as the lead. The ensemble cast also features Mason Thames (How to Train Your Dragon), Dacre Montgomery (Stranger Things), and singer Rina Sawayama.

An official release date has yet to be confirmed. Caine made his debut appearance in John Wick: Chapter 4. Nighy most recently appeared in the series Lazarus.
