Ball Park Music Takes Fans Inside Their Oasis Arena Experience

Ball Park Music have been thrust into the spotlight again after joining Oasis on the veteran band’s highly anticipated Australian reunion tour. Live Nation has captured the Brisbane five-piece for an episode of its Soundcheck series, giving fans a close-up look at the band’s experience opening for one of the era’s defining acts.

The episode follows the group as they move from soundcheck to showtime, performing to arena-sized crowds as Oasis returned to Australian stages for the first time in over a decade. Cameras chronicle the logistical and emotional buildup that accompanies playing much larger venues than the band routinely sees.

Throughout the film, Ball Park Music — who frequently cite Oasis among their influences — are shown tuning up backstage, taking in the scale of the arenas and reflecting on how surreal it feels to warm up crowds for a band that shaped several members’ musical education. The footage balances the technical choreography of arena production with the quieter, human moments that precede a big performance.

The band describe opening for Oasis as a mix of nerves and exhilaration: stepping onto the stage in front of tens of thousands brings an electric buzz, but also a reminder of why they make music in the first place.

Oasis’s reunion tour became one of Australia’s most talked-about live events in 2025, with many dates selling out quickly and additional shows added to meet demand. For Ball Park Music, the run represents a major career milestone that follows a strong year of touring and chart success.

Earlier in 2025 the group celebrated their first ARIA No. 1 album with Weirder & Weirder, continuing a streak of top-10 entries on the ARIA Albums Chart. Prior to that breakthrough, three of the band’s releases had peaked at No. 2: Puddinghead (2014), Ball Park Music (2020) and Weirder & Weirder (2022).

Live Nation’s Soundcheck has previously focused on notable Australian and regional touring acts — including Anna Lunoe, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, Coterie and Dallas Frasca — and the Ball Park Music episode continues the series’ aim of documenting the emotional and practical realities of life on tour.
