ASUS has shared the release date and specifications for the ROG Xbox Ally X20, featuring an OLED display and an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor.

The main upgrade over the standard ROG Xbox Ally X is a 7.4-inch OLED screen with a 1080p resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, variable refresh rate (VRR) support, and HDR. The panel reaches a peak brightness of 1,400 nits.

Under the hood, the device features an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, 24 GB of RAM, a 1 TB SSD, and an 80 Wh battery. The handheld also includes FreeSync Premium Pro and VRR support, running Windows 11 with an Xbox mode.

The system commemorates the 20th anniversary of the ROG brand with a translucent chassis accented with gold details. ASUS originally showcased the console alongside AR glasses, but the company confirmed that the handheld will also be available for purchase separately.

Sales for the ROG Xbox Ally X20 will begin on October 15, 2026. By comparison, the standard ROG Xbox Ally X is priced at $999.99 in the US.
