Ariana Grande says Broadway remains on her radar. In a recent conversation with Nicole Kidman published November 24, 2025, for Interview magazine, the pop star confirmed she would happily return to live theater after completing work on the Wicked films.

When Kidman asked whether she might take on a Broadway run in the future, Grande answered without hesitation: she would. The singer explained that theater has long been close to her heart — she first appeared on Broadway at age 13 in the musical 13, and that experience, she says, was invaluable training.

“I had a few little lines, and it was the most incredible training,” Grande recalled, noting that performing songs by Jason Robert Brown helped her build vocal stamina and stage discipline. Though she recognizes a Broadway engagement is a serious commitment, the idea doesn’t intimidate her; it’s something she imagined doing from childhood.

Grande also reflected on how her pop career redirected her path. After early acting work, including a role on Victorious, her music career accelerated swiftly — a shift she called “a big adjustment” at the outset. Still, she emphasized that the pull of live theater has never left her.

For now, Grande’s attention is on wrapping the promotional cycle for Wicked: For Good and preparing a tour next year in support of her Billboard 200–topping album, Eternal Sunshine. Following the film’s premiere on November 17, she posted a heartfelt message to fans on Instagram on November 23, expressing gratitude for the chance to play Glinda and describing Wicked as a lifelong source of solace and inspiration.

In her note she wrote to fans, Grande called them “my Sweet Fellow Ozians,” and described joining the production as “the greatest gift of my life.” She added that being part of the show felt creatively fulfilling and deeply meaningful.

Whether she ultimately steps back onto a Broadway stage remains to be seen, but Grande’s comments make it clear that the possibility is one she welcomes.
