Ariana Grande Honors Dolly Parton With Pre-Show Tribute at London Concert
Ariana Grande Pays Heartfelt Pre-Concert Tribute to Dolly Parton During London Tour Stop

During a recent London performance on her critically acclaimed Eternal Sunshine Tour, Ariana Grande offered a touching homage to the enduring legacy of the late Dolly Parton.
Prior to Grande taking the stage at London’s premier venue, the O2 Arena, the audience was treated to an archival broadcast of Parton delivering an emotive performance of her signature ballad, “I Will Always Love You.” The visual memorial honored the trailblazing country icon following her passing at age 80, providing thousands in attendance a shared moment of reflection and celebration before the main performance commenced.
Rather than weaving the tribute directly into her setlist, Grande intentionally structured the memorial as an exclusive overture. The moment the tribute concluded and the staging transitioned, the pop star launched into her full live production.
Originally penned and released by Parton in 1974, “I Will Always Love You” cemented its status as one of music history’s greatest compositions, later reaching unprecedented global acclaim through Whitney Houston’s iconic 1992 soundtrack rendition for The Bodyguard. In the wake of Parton’s passing, luminaries from across every genre have voiced deep admiration for her historic contributions to songcraft and culture.
The London engagement forms part of Grande’s first extensive concert run since 2019. Following the tour’s conclusion on September 1, the vocalist plans to step away from the public sphere for an extended intermission.
“Ariana will be taking a step back from visibility after she completes the Eternal Sunshine Tour,” a statement confirmed earlier this month. “She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny. This tour has been a beautiful experience for her. She loves her fans and has loved every minute of this tour so much.”
