Ariana Grande will no longer appear in the thirteenth season of the anthology series American Horror Story. According to Deadline, the singer and actress was forced to step away from the project due to scheduling conflicts with her upcoming Eternal Sunshine Tour.
Grande was originally slated to make her debut in Ryan Murphy’s franchise alongside series staples such as Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Jessica Lange, and Emma Roberts. However, since production had yet to commence on any of her scenes, her departure will not necessitate any reshoots.
Despite the loss of one of the production’s most high-profile cast members, filming for the new season is moving forward as planned. The thirteenth chapter of American Horror Story is set to premiere on September 24, with plot details remaining strictly under wraps.
