Antony Starr Responds to Resident Evil Rumors

Antony Starr, the standout lead of The Boys, has finally addressed the persistent speculation regarding his potential involvement in Zach Cregger’s upcoming Resident Evil adaptation. Rumors have been circulating online for some time suggesting that Starr was a lock to portray the franchise’s iconic antagonist, Albert Wesker. However, the actor has moved to firmly debunk these claims.

In a recent interview, Starr clarified that he is not attached to the project in any capacity, even admitting that he has never played the original video games. He also pointed out that his most striking physical similarity to Wesker—his signature blonde hair—is no longer present. Following the wrap of the latest season of The Boys, where he portrays Homelander, the actor reverted to his natural hair color, further distancing himself from the look of the Umbrella Corporation villain.

Starr emphasized that the theory of his casting seemed to materialize out of thin air, suggesting that the entire narrative was likely a product of fan imagination rather than industry reality.
