Ananta gets release date and new trailer
Publisher NetEase Games and developer Naked Rain have confirmed that the upcoming free-to-play urban RPG Ananta will launch on January 15, 2027, for PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, and Android.
Often referred to as an “anime GTA” due to its visual aesthetic and sandbox freedom, the game is set across two large open cities: Nova City and Lingyun. Players will travel between both metropolises while investigating anomalous and supernatural incidents.
Throughout the story, players will encounter more than 100 characters, each featuring distinct storylines and quests. Several of these characters can be recruited into a squad, with the option to switch between them. Combat incorporates martial arts, supernatural abilities, and interactive environmental objects that can be used as weapons.
For city traversal, the game features cars, motorcycles, skateboards, and wire-swinging mechanics reminiscent of Marvel’s Spider-Man. Outside of missions, players can explore leisure activities such as visiting movie theaters, arcades, cafes, and gyms.
Pre-registration is currently open through the game’s official website, Google Play, and the App Store. PC players can also add Ananta to their Steam wishlist.
