The failure of the cooperative shooter dealt a severe blow to the company’s financial results.
Remedy Entertainment published its financial results for the third quarter of 2025 (July–September), showing a pronounced increase in game sales and royalty income alongside substantial operating losses.
Total revenue declined 32% year‑on‑year — from €17.9 million to €12.2 million — largely driven by a drop in publisher-related fees. The operating result swung into a deep loss of €16.4 million.
The biggest hit came from FBC: Firebreak. Despite a September Breakpoint update designed to resolve the title’s core issues, sales fell short of expectations. Remedy revised its long-term outlook for Firebreak and recorded a non‑cash impairment of €14.9 million, effectively writing off the bulk of capitalized development costs and publishing rights. As a result, the operating margin fell to –135.1% of quarterly revenue.
In response to the losses, the company reduced funding for Firebreak support and reallocated resources to other projects.
There was a positive note: revenue from game sales and royalties climbed to €6.0 million, up from €0.8 million in the same period in 2024.
