Earlier in the year, Wonderland posted on social media asking for compassion after cancelling several shows. She explained that an urgent medical situation required her to return home and that she subsequently endured a prolonged high fever, leaving her unable to perform or travel.

Months later, in a wide-ranging interview with Billboard News conducted shortly before she welcomed her second son, she revealed the deeper reason for those cancellations: a miscarriage in December 2024. She described the online reaction as profoundly hurtful, saying the criticism compounded an already painful private ordeal and that she was not prepared to disclose the details publicly.

Wonderland disclosed that this loss marked her fourth miscarriage, an experience that directly informed the tone and anger of her June single “Again? F–k.” Writing that song, she said, became a way to process grief with a darkly humorous, aggressive edge that helped her keep moving forward.

She also reflected on the themes running through her upcoming record, noting that another single, “I Want to Live in a Dream,” channels a desire to escape the disorienting feelings brought on by personal loss—feelings she believes many other artists and listeners are confronting in different ways.

Discussing her place in electronic music, Wonderland admitted feeling somewhat out of step with parts of the dance world, calling herself “an album artist” who prefers the slower arc of longform storytelling. Both singles mentioned above are drawn from her fourth studio album, Ghost World, which is set for release on Dec. 6.
