Alien: Isolation 2 Developers Warn Fans Ahead of Gamescom

Alien: Isolation 2 will have a playable presence at Gamescom, but developer Creative Assembly has confirmed that the survival horror sequel will not receive a release date during the event.

Publisher Sega is bringing several major titles to Gamescom, including Persona 4 Revival, Stranger Than Heaven, and Crazy Taxi: World Tour. The main highlight is Alien: Isolation 2, where attendees will be able to play through the game’s prologue at Sega’s booth. The project was officially announced in October 2024, followed by its debut trailer at Summer Game Fest 2026.

Creative Assembly set expectations directly on X when replying to a user asking about a launch window, stating, “you won’t get a release date next week.” When the user thanked the studio for clarifying, the developer replied, “You’re welcome.”

Sega has not yet disclosed a launch timeframe. Alien: Isolation 2 is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The narrative centers on a female protagonist who investigates a crashed “mysterious ship” alongside her team, only to discover that a Xenomorph is loose on the planet.
