Alan Wake 2 Gets Major Update Nearly Three Years After Release
Remedy Entertainment has rolled out a major 1.2.10 update for Alan Wake 2, adding support for AMD FSR 4 and FSR Frame Generation alongside performance and stability fixes.
Nearly three years after the launch of Alan Wake 2, the studio continues to update the game with new PC features. The primary addition in update 1.2.10 is official support for AMD FSR 4. The technology is integrated directly into the FSR Super Resolution setting and turns on automatically when running on compatible graphics cards. The patch also adds AMD FSR Frame Generation to boost visual smoothness.
Using the Agility SDK, the update improves the performance of Opacity Micromaps and Shader Execution Reordering. Remedy also resolved audio synchronization issues, general bugs, and game crashes across various platforms.
Alan Wake 2 released in late 2023 and has sold over 3 million copies, receiving two story expansions following its launch.
