After the failure of Homeworld 3, players are pinning their hopes on Falling Frontier
Homeworld 3 has proven to be a significant letdown for enthusiasts of cosmic strategy. Currently languishing with a mere 38% positive rating on Steam, Blackbird Interactive’s latest endeavor continues to struggle with persistent technical flaws.
In the wake of this disappointment, a growing segment of the community is shifting its focus toward Falling Frontier. This upcoming title previously garnered substantial interest following a breathtaking showcase featuring a skirmish between massive destroyers in orbit around Saturn.
More than just a visual spectacle, Falling Frontier is an RTS that prioritizes a grounded, realistic sci-fi atmosphere. The development team has poured immense effort into mechanical depth and sound design; the inclusion of authentic military radio chatter and tactical fleet commands serves to heighten the sense of immersion during intense deep-space engagements.
While the community has been anticipating this project for several years, a definitive launch date has yet to be finalized. As of now, the title is slated exclusively for a PC release.
