Actress Lyudmila Chursina has died

Renowned People’s Artist of the USSR Lyudmila Chursina has passed away at the age of 84, as confirmed by the press office of the Russian Army Theatre.

Born in 1941 in Stalinabad (modern-day Dushanbe), Chursina was a graduate of the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute. She launched her cinematic career in 1961 with a role in the film “When the Trees Were Tall.”

Over her prolific career, Chursina amassed a repertoire of more than 100 film and television appearances. Her notable credits include “Two Tickets to a Daytime Show,” “Gloomy River,” “The Adjutant of His Excellency,” “Lyubov Yarovaya,” “Margosha,” “Closed School,” and “Interns,” among many others.
