Actor Dmitry Podnozov has died
Russian stage and screen actor Dmitry Podnozov has died at the age of 65. The news was shared via social media by the press office of the Osobnyak Theatre in St. Petersburg, where the actor was a company member.
“Over the past six months, Dmitry battled cancer. It was an incredibly arduous journey, yet he remained courageous and steadfast until the very end,”
— the statement reads.
Born in Leningrad in 1961, Podnozov enjoyed a prolific career spanning decades. He appeared in dozens of productions, including the films “Prophet: The Legend of Alexander Pushkin,” “The Summer Ends” (pictured), and “Scurvy,” as well as popular television series such as “Silver Spoon” and “Pregnancy Test,” among others.
