50 Cent made it clear he’s not over Vivica A. Fox, despite the actress recently advising her younger self — and others — to steer clear of rappers romantically.
Late on Monday, , the rapper took to Instagram to reply to Fox’s comments. Alongside what appeared to be an AI-generated image of himself styled as Morpheus from The Matrix, he captioned the post, “Either way I’m a have that ass in the matrix.”
The Instagram response came days after Fox’s high-profile remarks at the Chicago Ultimate Women’s Expo on . During a Q&A about life lessons, the Independence Day star quipped about what she would tell her younger self: “Don’t date 50 Cent, don’t date no damn rappers,” then laughed and shrugged as she explained how time helped her find humor in the past.
The pair’s relationship dates back to 2003 and has been punctuated by playful digs and public back-and-forths over the years. In 2015, Fox jokingly questioned aspects of his persona on Watch What Happens Live, and a few years later she told Wendy Williams she might be open to dating him again.
In her memoir Every Day, I’m Hustling, Fox described their intimacy as “PG-13,” noting she often took the lead in their encounters. And in 2021, 50 Cent said he was “never bothered” when Fox labeled him “the love of her life.”
