First Look Inside the Newly Remodeled Las Vegas Nightclub XS

XS at Wynn Las Vegas will reopen Nov. 5-8 after its first remodel, with sets by Rüfüs du Sol, The Chainsmokers, Calvin Harris and Diplo b2b Hugel.

The Las Vegas Strip nightclub has been closed since August for the remodel, which includes a chrome-and-gold design and custom audio and lighting technology engineered exclusively for XS. An overhead installation features 1,200 moving pendants that change the appearance of the space throughout the night.

XS opened in December 2008, 18 years ago. Although this is its first remodel, the club debuted $10 million worth of new lighting, sound effects and technology in 2015.

“The new XS is not a departure from its legacy. It’s the next chapter of it,” Michael Wood, vice president of creative at Wynn Design & Development, said in a statement. “We’re taking everything people remember about XS, the glamour, the fantasy, the sense of spectacle, and asking what those ideas mean for the next generation of nightlife.”

“XS has long been synonymous with the very best of Las Vegas nightlife, setting a standard for entertainment and energy,” said Adam Norotsky, vice president of nightlife at Wynn Las Vegas. “With this reimagining, we saw an opportunity to build on that legacy and deliver even more of what guests love about XS, including a stage that regularly welcomes some of the most sought-after talent in the world. Our goal was to create an unforgettable night out, where world-class music, standout performances and a lively atmosphere come together for an experience guests will want to return to again and again. We look forward to welcoming them back.”

The 40,000-square-foot club can host up to 1,840 guests indoors and up to 3,121 including its outdoor areas. After opening, XS played a crucial role in establishing Las Vegas as a global dance music destination, helping raise DJ fees and establish DJs as a new type of superstar artist.
