37 Free Demos on Xbox: Indie Selects Demo Fest Launches for a Limited Time
Xbox has kicked off the ID@Xbox Indie Selects Demo Fest — an event showcasing 37 free demos of upcoming indie titles. All games in the ID@Xbox lineup are available to download until the end of December 2025.
Most demos run on Xbox, and a number are also playable on PC and mobile devices. Microsoft compiled this collection from studios around the globe, giving players an opportunity to sample games before their official launches.
The company cautions that many demos are early builds and may differ noticeably from the finished releases. Development is ongoing, so players may encounter bugs or incomplete features. Some demos may be restricted in certain regions, although availability could change.
The selection covers a variety of genres: rhythm-action Rhythm Towers; the simulator STONKS-9800: Stock Market Simulator; and horror entries such as Pathologic 3 and Tenebris Somnia. Cooperative fans can check out Biped 2, while those who prefer atmospheric narratives can try Coffee Talk Tokyo.
After December 31, 2025, most of these demos will be removed from the Xbox Store.
