2025 Nika Award Winners Announced

Moscow recently played host to the 38th Nika Awards, a prestigious annual gala organized by the Russian Academy of Cinema Arts and Sciences.

Sergei Chliyants’s Wind was crowned Best Feature Film. The narrative follows a fisherman who bids farewell to his young wife, vowing to return with a bountiful catch. As he sets out, he meets a chance companion, and together they navigate a grueling journey filled with hardships.

In addition to the top prize, the film was recognized for its screenplay, cinematography, and sound engineering. The musical Prophet. The Story of Alexander Pushkin also secured several technical accolades. The primary winners of the evening are listed below:
