Netflix has officially announced the lead cast for its upcoming reimagining of the beloved romantic comedy 13 Going on 30. Emily Bader (My Lady Jane) and Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson) are set to headline the film.
Jennifer Garner, the star of the original 2004 hit, is returning to the project to serve as a producer. The classic premise follows a 13-year-old girl who, tired of the social struggles of early adolescence, wishes to be “thirty, flirty, and thriving”—only to wake up the next morning as a 30-year-old woman.
While the original featured Mark Ruffalo alongside Garner, this new iteration will be helmed by director Brett Haley. An official release date for the streaming debut has yet to be confirmed.
