Swedish pop sensation Zara Larsson is relishing a monumental career milestone. Her collaboration with PinkPantheress, “Stateside,” has officially climbed into the Top 10 in the United States—a feat the singer has been striving toward for over a decade.

In a heartfelt TikTok shared on Monday evening (March 9), Larsson opened up to her fans about the surreal experience of seeing the electro-pop track hit No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart dated March 14. “I’m looking at my name in the Top 10 at No. 7,” she remarked while relaxing in pin curls. “It’s absolutely surreal.”

Now 28, Larsson reflected on the persistence required to reach this stage of her career. “This has been my ultimate goal for as long as I can remember,” she shared. “There is something special about it happening now, after I’ve been in this industry for such a long time. It makes me appreciate the journey so much more.”

While she admitted the chart position is a massive victory, she emphasized that the connection with her audience remains her primary motivation. “It isn’t just about the rankings—though that is amazing—it’s about knowing people are actually listening and connecting with the music,” she added. “I feel incredibly present and grateful for every bit of this.”

The singer’s comment section quickly became a hub of celebration, with fans noting that her success is long overdue. “You’ve worked so hard for this, you deserve every bit of the love,” one supporter wrote, while others cheered for her “rightful place” among pop’s elite.

This Top 10 breakthrough marks a pivotal chapter in Larsson’s career, which gained renewed momentum in mid-2024 when her track “Symphony” became a viral sensation. Following the 2025 release of her album Midnight Sun, her guest appearance on PinkPantheress’ “Stateside” surged in popularity, propelled further by Olympic gold medalist Alysa Liu’s viral figure skating routine to the song.

“To be woven into the fabric of culture, like I was through Alysa’s performance, is more meaningful to me than any statistic,” Larsson recently told Teen Vogue. “Watching her win gold with such joy while my music played was a moment of pure pride.”
