If you simply can’t look ahead to the Spyro Reignited Trilogy to make its approach to PC, then I may need just a little one thing additional to assist tide you over – a modder is including everybody’s favorite purple dragon to Half-Life.

The modder, who goes by the web moniker Magic Nipples (why not?) posted a brief video of Spyro working round Half-Life’s world with the caption “yes, I’m putting Spyro in Half-Life.” At the second, the venture appears fairly easy, however Spyro appears to suit the world (if not the colour scheme) fairly effectively. Mr Nipples says he’s going to proceed creating the mod, and can proceed to publish updates to the venture by way of Twitter.

Magic Nipples appears to be a comparatively prolific Half-Life modder. A cursory look at their ModDB page reveals loads of pre-existing mods, from reconstructions of early Half-Life builds to a demake of Half-Life 2 in the Goldsource engine. That made including Spyro to Half-Life moderately straightforward, particularly since “his PS1 model has the same poly counts and texture detail” present in a lot of the remainder of the sport, making him a fairly good match – stylistically, at the least.
