Darude Releases Sandstorm Storm 25 Mix After Reworking the Track for His Anniversary Tour

Darude has released Sandstorm Storm 25 Mix through Vibing Out. The new version grew out of a live arrangement created for his STORM 25 anniversary tour and keeps the original track’s central melody.

According to the release announcement, Darude began by rebuilding the original recording in detail before reshaping its sounds. The resulting mix adds melodic-techno elements to the drop and orchestral textures to the breakdown.

A new version by the original producer

The announcement describes Storm 25 Mix as the first official Sandstorm remix in more than 20 years. It distinguishes this release from the many unofficial edits and mashups that have circulated during that period.

Darude said the project was a personal opportunity to revisit the record that launched his career. The touring version provided a starting point for a standalone release aimed at his 2026 live sets.
