Microsoft does not intend to compel developers to adopt its AI.

In a recent interview at the Paley International Council summit in Palo Alto, California, Xbox head Phil Spencer described the company’s approach to artificial intelligence. Spencer noted that Xbox does not impose strict rules on how developers should use AI.

Xbox’s AI efforts concentrate primarily on safety and protecting the network. According to Spencer, the platform’s scale makes AI indispensable for safeguarding users. These technologies help monitor conversations, protect children’s accounts, manage access to communications, and respect parental control settings.

On the creative side, Spencer emphasized that the decision to use AI is left to each development team.
