Xbox to Unveil New Controller at Gamescom 2026, Insider Says

Insider billbil-kun has shared details on one of Xbox’s planned surprises for Gamescom 2026, where the brand will celebrate its 25th anniversary with more than just new game reveals.

According to billbil-kun, Xbox will showcase and open pre-orders for the previously teased Xbox Wireless Controller Special Edition X25 on August 26, the official opening day of the event. The controller features a design that pays homage to the original Xbox.

The controller is scheduled to go on sale on October 20, 2026, with a recommended retail price of $79.99 / €79.99.

Xbox is also expected to unveil an anniversary edition console, though the timing for its pre-orders is currently unknown.
