Academy Award winner Brendan Fraser has opened up about his physical training regimen as he prepares to reprise his role in the fourth installment of The Mummy franchise.
“We’re getting the old band back together. That’s the only way to do it. We’re going to deliver everything fans have been clamoring for over the last twenty-something years… We are returning to the original locations… Please, wish me luck. I’m doing everything in my power to whip this 57-year-old machine back into shape,”
— Fraser remarked during his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Alongside Fraser, original cast members Rachel Weisz and John Hannah are set to return. The sequel will be directed by the filmmaking team Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (known for Ready or Not and Scream).
Universal Pictures is scheduled to release The Mummy 4 in theaters internationally on October 15, 2027.
