Will the Creators of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Become the Kings of RPGs? Warhorse Will at Least Try
The developers will continue working in the genre they know best.
After the splash made by Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the Warhorse Studios team doesn’t intend to move away from RPGs. The studio has bold ambitions.
PR manager Tobias Stoltz‑Zwilling said in a conversation that the creators of KCD 2 aim to become the new leaders of the RPG genre.
We at Warhorse Studios feel at home in the RPG genre. We aim to become the new leaders of RPG. We believe we have our own formula and craft it in a distinctive way, and our next project will follow that direction.
Tobias did not elaborate on which specific “next project” he was referring to, only mentioning it will be an “immersive role‑playing game” — whether they return to a medieval setting or choose a different direction remains unknown.
