Developers are preparing fixes for several in-game issues, while players worry about the impact on their mods.
Bethesda has outlined the upcoming November patch for Fallout 4. The team says it will improve performance and address various crashes.
Notable fixes and improvements:
- Fixed a crash that occurred when starting a new game with Creation mods installed on PS4.
- Resolved a crash triggered by selecting “Buy Credits” on PC.
- Fixed a crash that happened when leaving an interior area while the Pip-Boy was open (PS4/PS5).
- “Save on Exit” now correctly creates saves when returning to the main menu.
- Addressed infinite loading issues caused by Creation Club mods.
- Downloading a Creation mod and immediately disabling it will no longer permanently disable content that depends on that mod.
- Localization improvements.
Players fear the November patch may once again create problems for the modding community. After the Anniversary Edition release, some mods stopped functioning correctly.
The full patch notes are available at the following link. The team plans to release a second patch in December.
The developers revealed new content, The Varmint Rifle — described as “the first of several free Creation mods” for Fallout 4 — which will be available next week.
