When Does Genshin Impact Version 6.6 (Luna 7) Release in Your Time Zone?

The highly anticipated Genshin Impact “Luna VII” (Version 6.6) update is nearly upon us, bringing a fresh wave of excitement with playable characters Nicole, Lohen, and Prune. The narrative stakes are higher than ever, as we finally prepare to confront Dottore in a long-awaited showdown. As is standard with major expansions, the game will undergo a scheduled maintenance period lasting approximately five hours before the new content goes live.

Below, we have outlined the specific maintenance windows and the official launch schedule for Version 6.6, along with a glimpse of the new features awaiting you in Teyvat.

When does maintenance begin?

Genshin Impact servers will be taken offline for maintenance on Tuesday, May 19 or Wednesday, May 20 (depending on your region). Expect the game to be inaccessible for roughly five hours during the following windows:

  • West Coast North America: 3 p.m. PDT, Tuesday, May 19
  • East Coast North America: 6 p.m. EDT, Tuesday, May 19
  • Brazil: 7 p.m. BRT, Tuesday, May 19
  • U.K.: 11 p.m. BST, Tuesday, May 19
  • Western Europe: 12 a.m. CEST, Wednesday, May 20
  • Japan: 7 a.m. JST, Wednesday, May 20
  • East Coast Australia: 8 a.m. AEST, Wednesday, May 20

We recommend spending your Resin before the downtime begins. Try not to over-cap, but keep in mind that the new Battle Pass season will commence immediately upon the patch’s arrival.

When does Version 6.6 go live?

Following the maintenance period, players can expect the servers to reopen with the Version 6.6 update at approximately these times:

  • West Coast North America: 8 p.m. PDT, Tuesday, May 19
  • East Coast North America: 11 p.m. EDT, Tuesday, May 19
  • Brazil: 12 a.m. BRT, Wednesday, May 20
  • U.K.: 4 a.m. BST, Wednesday, May 20
  • Western Europe: 5 a.m. CEST, Wednesday, May 20
  • Japan: 12 p.m. JST, Wednesday, May 20
  • East Coast Australia: 1 p.m. AEST, Wednesday, May 20

While these times are subject to slight shifts based on the efficiency of the maintenance process, HoYoverse is historically consistent with their deployment schedule. Servers occasionally come back online earlier than estimated, though delays are rare.

What’s coming in Version 6.6?

This update promises a gripping narrative expansion as we finally face Dottore, regrouping with key figures from the Sumeru arc, including the Wanderer and Nahida. The roster expands with two powerful five-star debuts: Nicole, a Pyro Catalyst user, and Lohen, a Cryo Polearm wielder. Joining them is the new four-star addition, Prune, who utilizes an Anemo Catalyst.

Additionally, players can look forward to the “Phantasmal Pals” event, offering the chance to secure precious Primogems and an exclusive “Super Awesome Magic Key” weapon cosmetic.
