Volvo Trucks Experience Center Arrives in ETS2 1.59 Update

We are delighted to offer an exclusive preview of a landmark addition arriving in Euro Truck Simulator 2 with the upcoming 1.59 update. Through our continued collaboration with Volvo Trucks, drivers will soon have the chance to hone their skills at the prestigious Volvo Trucks Experience Center (VTEX), nestled in the heart of Gothenburg, Sweden.

Volvo Trucks Experience Center Entrance

Located in Volvo’s home city, the Experience Center seamlessly integrates sophisticated brand showcases with a world-class driving facility designed to highlight the engineering prowess of Volvo vehicles. While the site serves as a museum of innovation and heritage, the crowning jewel for any driver is its dedicated, professional-grade testing circuit.

VTEX Facility

This technical track features a demanding array of broad curves, tight corners, and significant topographical shifts. These diverse layouts allow drivers to evaluate vehicle dynamics in a controlled environment, emphasizing braking precision, chassis stability, and ergonomic comfort in ways that standard motorways simply cannot replicate.

In Euro Truck Simulator 2, the Volvo Trucks Experience Center has been meticulously mirrored on a 1:1 scale. Players can navigate the entire circuit and explore the facility’s expansive grounds. Our design team focused on capturing the specific ambiance and architectural nuances of the real-world site, including all functional parking areas, to deliver an authentic simulation experience.

To access this specialized zone, players must venture through the road networks surrounding Gothenburg to discover an entrance that remains hidden from the GPS until found. Please keep in mind that as this facility is located within Sweden, the Scandinavia DLC is required for entry.

Volvo Trucks at the center

Last year, our team had the privilege of visiting the center firsthand, where we spent time behind the wheel of the Volvo FH Electric, the FH16 780, and the Volvo FH I-Save. This visit allowed us to collect high-fidelity audio recordings and detailed photographic references to enhance our development projects. You can witness our journey in the “SCS On The Road” video series available on our YouTube channel.

We would like to extend our deepest appreciation to our partners at Volvo Trucks for their invaluable support in bringing this unique location to our community. We look forward to sharing more details regarding future updates and expansions very soon. Stay tuned, and keep on truckin’!
