Valve continues to refine the SteamOS experience through steady, incremental updates.
This January, Valve rolled out SteamOS version 3.7.19, focusing on resolving various technical glitches and game-specific bugs.
Notable changes and enhancements include:
- Resolved a bug where frame rate limits would behave inconsistently on Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) displays after extended gaming sessions.
- Eliminated a regression in the Game Recording feature that caused video captures to freeze unexpectedly mid-clip.
- Rectified an audio routing issue that prevented the system from properly switching between the 3.5mm headphone jack and other output devices upon connection or disconnection.
Furthermore, the developers addressed a specific issue in Forza Horizon 4 and Forza Horizon 5 that previously caused the games to display nothing but a blank window during launch.
