Valve Launches Expanded Steam Refunds for Shuttered Fantasy Extraction Shooter from Blizzard Veteran
Mass Refunds Underway for Eldegarde Following Shutdown Announcement
The curtain is falling on Eldegarde (formerly known as Legacy: Steel & Sorcery), the fantasy extraction project from Notorious Studios, led by Blizzard veteran Chris Kaleiki. Despite transitioning from Early Access to its full version only this January, the developers have officially announced the game’s discontinuation.
Eldegarde has already been delisted from the Steam storefront, and the official servers are scheduled to go dark by the end of March.
Under normal circumstances, Steam’s refund policy is restricted to purchases made within 14 days with less than two hours of playtime. However, Eldegarde’s creators successfully negotiated with Valve to implement an expanded refund window for their community.
Consequently, anyone who purchased Eldegarde within the last two weeks is now entitled to a full refund on Steam, regardless of the amount of time they spent in the game.
