Ubisoft has once again turned its attention to fans of online and live-service games. This time, the company is reportedly working on a shooter poised to compete with Battlefield: RedSec.
Insider Shiny77, well known within the Rainbow Six Siege community, reported that Ubisoft is developing a new multiplayer project aimed at competitive play.
According to the available information, the studio is building a sci‑fi shooter under the working title Scout. Developed on Unreal Engine 5, the title is said to deliver large-scale confrontations—likely across expansive maps. Cross-platform support has also been mentioned, which has fueled speculation that the project might be a new battle royale.
Additional evidence emerged when other sources shared screenshots of a loading screen and an early map. Those posts were soon taken down from X and replaced by the platform’s standard notice banner.
That only reinforced the belief that Ubisoft is indeed preparing a substantial multiplayer release—potentially another bid to reclaim players from Battlefield and Call of Duty.
