TV Series “Alien: Earth” Officially Renewed for Season 2

FX expresses satisfaction with its collaboration with showrunner Noah Hawley.

FX has announced the renewal of the series “Alien: Earth” for a second season. The renewal is part of a new, long-term agreement between FX, Disney Entertainment Television, and showrunner Noah Hawley, who will continue to lead the project.

FX chairman John Landgraf noted that his partnership with Hawley has spanned more than a decade and has produced some of the network’s finest series, including “Fargo.”

“It has been an honor to work with Noah for more than ten years on some of FX’s most acclaimed and ambitious series, and we are pleased to extend our partnership into the future.”

Hawley emphasized that he values the creative freedom FX provides.

“FX has always championed bold, character-driven storytelling. From the beginning of ‘Fargo,’ they encouraged me to take risks and follow the story wherever it led. I’m excited to continue exploring the world of ‘Alien: Earth’ with our partners, cast, and crew as we begin this next chapter.”

According to FX, production on the second season will begin in London in 2026. Hawley also confirmed he has already outlined the direction of the follow-up so the team can move into production quickly after approval. He has previously suggested he envisioned the story arc running for roughly five seasons.
