The Total War series is steadily moving to mobile platforms. Now it’s the turn of the Napoleonic Wars.
Publisher Feral Interactive has released a trailer for the mobile edition of Total War: Napoleon and confirmed a release date — December 2. This marks another stage in the studio’s broad initiative to bring classic Total War strategy titles to smartphones.
The mobile release includes all content from the original, including the Peninsular Campaign expansion. Players will be able to pick any side in the Napoleonic conflicts and relive famed campaigns — from Austerlitz to Waterloo — and even try playing as Portugal or the Ottoman Empire.
The developers promise controls tailored for touchscreens while maintaining keyboard and mouse support. After the successful ports of Total War: Empire, Rome: Total War, and Total War: Medieval II, concerns about the quality of this release are minimal — Feral Interactive not only ports these games but often enhances them by adding features missing from the PC versions. For instance, in September 2025 Empire received 44 new playable factions.
