Tokyo Xtreme Racer Coming to PS5: Tokyo Street Racing in 2026
Developer Genki has announced that the PlayStation 5 edition of the street-racing simulator Tokyo Xtreme Racer will launch on February 26, 2026.
The game entered Early Access on PC via Steam on January 23, with the full release following on September 25.
Tokyo Xtreme Racer transports players into a closed-off, futuristic Tokyo where they vie for top position on the city’s high-speed highways, contending in intense, spiraling races with distinctive cars.
A hallmark of the series is the SP Battle (Spirit Point Battle), a signature mode built around spirit points that tests not only speed but also the player’s ability to unnerve rivals and break their resolve. The Shuto Expressway routes are recreated with meticulous attention to detail — from technical corners to abrupt elevation changes — delivering an authentic sensation of speed.
